Pakistan are set to lock horns against New Zealand in the five-match ODI series starting today (Thursday), where Men in Green have the opportunity to top the ICC ODI team rankings.
Currently, Pakistan are in the fifth spot, while New Zealand are second in the ICC rankings.
The only way Pakistan can reach on top of the mountain only if they beat New Zealand 5-0. However, another other result would keep them at par from the top for a while in the ODI team rankings.
The only time, Pakistan managed to top the rankings in the 50-over format was in 2003, when Mohammad Yousuf-led side whitewashed the Blackcaps in their home ground.
