Twitter starts prioritising tweets of verified accounts

Just days after the deadline for the Blue checks came to an end; Elon Musk’s Twitter has now started prioritising tweets of verified accounts.

The billionaire owner made the announcement on social side without sharing any further information.

This would mean that users who pay for Twitter Blue will now receive priority visibility on the feed or verified users receive some kind of special treatment in terms of feature rollouts.

This massive change means that your tweets will be all but invisible unless you pay for Twitter Blue, the subscription tier that grants you the blue checkmark verification badge along with other perks.

Earlier, Elon Musk had stated how Twitter would prioritise replies sharing three different scenarios –1. People a user follows, 2. Verified accounts, and 3. Unverified accounts.

In the same Tweet, he had explained how “verified accounts are 1000x harder to game by bot and troll armies.” He ended the Tweet by saying “You get what you pay for.”
