Have you ever wondered what Pakistan cricketers’ first Eidi was and how they used to spend it?
They made it all public while having a general chat with each other in a video shared by Lahore Qalandars on its social media platforms.
Just for perspective, most of the cricketers in the current Pakistan team came from a humble background and didn’t have much at the beginning.
This is almost the same story of four crickets – Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Fakhar Zaman, and Zaman Khan – who were part of the video.
Haris started the chat by sharing his first Eidi, then Fakhar and others joined in.
“About Rs4 or 5, I used to get as Eidi,” Haris said. “We used to each ‘chaat’ with that.”
It was a bit surprising for Fakhar after hearing about Haris’ Eidi. “I would have said that I used to get Rs40 to 50, but you seem to be older than me,” he said.
Shaheen said that he got about Rs500 to 1000 as the first Eidi, while Zaman shared that he received about Rs500 to 600.
