Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi has asked Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi to ensure security and smooth traffic for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final.
The final is scheduled to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium on March 19 in Lahore.
The tweet from the PCB chairman came amid Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s political public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore on PSL 8 final day.
He wrote: “Mohsin Naqvi, PSL8 multi-million dollar final on 19 March will be played before 25,000 people at Gaddafi Stadium and 100 million across the globe. This is Pakistan’s finest showcase. Punjab government must ensure failsafe security and smooth traffic flow to facilitate people’s access to the stadium.”
Apart from the final, both eliminators and a qualifier are also scheduled to be played at the venue.
Lahore Qalandars taking on Multan Sultans in the qualifier, while, Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi will lock horns in the first eliminator on March 16. The winner will face the losing team of the qualifier on March 17.
