A lavish wedding in Dubai sparked outrage in which a Pakistani businessman weighed his daughter in gold. However, the reality is a bit different.

The video, which went viral on social media, where the UAE-based businessman can be seen weighing his daughter on a scale with 69 kg gold bricks.

The move sparked outrage on social media, with many of them criticising the family’s actions as an extreme display of wealth.

However, the reality behind the move is very different, according to Abdulsamad Zia, who was the photographer at the wedding.

He took to Instagram to reveal that gold bricks were not real. “Pictures from the event where everyone thought it is real gold.” He added that Ayesha and Muhammad’s grand Bollywood Night was spectacular.

These fake golden bricks were actually a part of the theme of Bollywood Night which imitated the popular Bollywood film ‘Jodhaa Akbar’.
