Lahore Qalandars pacer Harif Rauf was involved in light banter with Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan.
Lahore Qalandars completely dominated the game against Islamabad United and won it by a hefty margin of 110 runs at the Gaddafi Stadium to secure the top spot in the points table.
The match was played in a very good spirit in front of a full-capacity crowd. However, the right arm and the Pakistan vice-captain shared a light moment during the match as well.
The incident happened in the 8th over of the United innings, when Shadab was dismissed by David Wiese. Shadab reviewed the decision, which also went against him.
As he was walking back, Haris followed him while running backward, seemingly speaking something in light humour.
The Islamabad skipper in return would nudge Haris aside and continue the long walk back in dejection.
After the game, Haris defended his actions by saying that he and Shadab have a very good relationship on and off the pitch and also revealed what he had told.
“You can do act like this to a friend,” he said while speaking to reporters. “That was fun, which we enjoyed on the ground as a team. To make things clear, we have a good relationship on and off the field. We usually try to have fun during or after the game. We played together for Pakistan for some time now and I told him [Shabab] that today out was in your destiny.”
