Shoaib Malik lauds wife Sania Mirza on ‘magnificent career’

Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik has showered praises on his wife Sania Mirza as she retired from tennis.

The Indian tennis icon quit the sport after getting knocked out in the first round of the Dubai Tennis Championship.

Veteran all-rounder, who is representing Karachi Kings in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight, commenting on her retirement said that he is proud of what she achieved in tennis.

“Sania has had a magnificent career in tennis and she can’t be lauded enough for it,” Malik told reporters in Multan.

Malik went on to add that he was proud of whatever she has achieved so far.

The statement from the all-rounder came at a time when reports of alleged divorce between the couple have been circulating in the media since last year.

However, both sports personalities have publicly addressed their alleged breakup.
