Indian cricketers use banned injection for fitness: BCCI chief selector

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Chief Selector Chatan Sharma is causing a stir in the Indian cricket following a sting operation against star cricketers.

The findings of the operation have raised several questions on the integrity of the BCCI and their cricketers, who are allegedly tricking the ‘dope test’.

Sharma, who was caught in the sting operation, according to India.com, claimed that players use ‘banned injections’ to get 100 per cent even if they aren’t not fit enough to play.

“Indian cricket team players take injections and get 100% fit even if they’re 80% fit,” he told Zee News. “These are not painkillers. These injections contain a drug which isn’t caught in a dope test.”

Moreover, he named Jasprit Bumrah as one of the cricketers, who allegedly use a similar kind of drug.

“Jasprit Bumrah was unable to bend as he had a major injury other than that there are one or two players who take injections in private and say that they are fit to play,” he was quoted by Sportskeeda.
