Afaq Ahmed and Ahad Hussain were shot dead over personal disputes in separate incidents in Karachi on Monday morning.
A 25-year-old man identified as Ahad Hussain was killed near Bismillah Chowk, Orangi Town.
The body was transferred to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a post-mortem.According to initial police reports, the incident occurred when Ahad resisted a robbery.
However, around noon, the police said that upon further investigation, they found that the victim was targeted and killed because of a personal dispute and not for resisting a robbery.
The deceased was employed at a garment factory in Korangi. Police said that the victim was leaving home to go to work when he was shot from behind by a man riding a motorcycle around 6:40 am.
Eyewitnesses told the police that they saw the attacker when leaving the mosque after Fajr prayers.
A mobile phone, wallet, and several SIM cards were found on the victim. The police are acquiring the victim’s call records.
Another man named Afaq Ahmed was shot in the head over a family dispute in Gulshan-e-Hadeed.
The police claimed that 30-year-old Afaq was murdered after receiving threats due to an ongoing family dispute in his hometown, Peshawar.
“Due to an ongoing dispute between Afaq and his cousin, we suspect that the cousin was involved in the murder,” police officer, Naik Niyaz said.
