The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled the new Pakistan Super League trophy for the upcoming season.
Season eight of the tournament will begin on February 13 in the city of saints where defending champions Lahore Qalandars will face hosts Multan Sultans.
The trophy unveiling ceremony was held at the Shalimar Bagh in Lahore, where all six franchise owners were present alongside PCB chairman Najam Sethi.
The trophy is made of 24-carat gold and has been named “Supernova”. About 9,907 zircon ornaments have been used in the trophy.
The three pillars of the trophy are a reflection of the unity, strength, and determination of the national team.
