It doesn’t matter to us: Imam Wasim on Babar Azam leaving Karachi Kings

It seems like Karachi Kings captain Imad Wasim has no regret about losing Babar Azam for the upcoming Pakistan Super League season eight.

The PSL8 is scheduled to kick off on February 13 in Multan, where defending Champions Lahore Qalandars will be facing hosts Multan Sultans.

With Karachi Kings are scheduled to host Peshawar Zalmi at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi on February 14, Imad believes that his side has things under control despite losing Babar.

“There is no doubt about Babar Azam’s abilities,” he told Cricket Pakistan. “It doesn’t matter to us, players come and go, but nothing is more important than the team.”

He said that Kings are looking forward to going with a different approach this year.

“Now he’s playing for a different team, so good luck to him,” he said. “This time we want to go for aggressive cricket.”

Babar will now be representing Peshawar Zalmi – his third franchise – in the tournament. The Pakistan captain wore the Karachi Kings shirt for six seasons, where he scored 2398 runs in 66 games at an impressive average of 43.60.
