PM Shehbaz, UAE president vow to enhance bilateral cooperation

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday held a meeting with President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and discussed the ways and means to further strengthen bilateral relations.

The meeting took place in Rahim Yar Khan as the UAE president arrived on a private visit to Pakistan, which the prime minister said, was his second home.

The resolve was expressed at a meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Wednesday.

Earlier, on his arrival at Chandna Airport, the prime minister along with other government functionaries received the UAE president.

During their meeting at the Airport, the premier recalled his recent visit to the UAE and emphasized that both countries would work on the understandings reached between the two leaders during his visit to the UAE, in various fields.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, said that the brotherly relations between the two countries went back many decades and his father, who had immense love for Pakistan and its people, laid the foundation of their bilateral ties.

He said that he considered Pakistan as his second home and assured the prime minister that the UAE would always stand by Pakistan.
