Shoaib Akhtar likely to get key role in new PCB setup

Former pacer Shoaib Akhtar is reportedly being considered for a key role in the new Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) setup led by Najam Sethi.

Pakistan cricket is going through some major changes since Najam Sethi and Co. take over late in December last year.

With the appointment of new coaches for the Pakistan team on the horizon, the board is also considering the Rawalpindi Express for one of the available positions.

According to Geo Super, Akhtar has already been contacted for the bowling coach role and he has also shown interest in working to improve the performance of the players.

The world’s fastest pacer will meet the chairman of the PCB Management Committee, Najam Sethi in Lahore in this regard soon.

Akhtar has been very vocal about the betterment of the Pakistan team since hanging up the boots back in 2011.
