Rally car champion and renowned YouTube star Ken Block died in a snowmobile accident at the age of 55.
The motorsport legend was traveling up a steep slope at around 2pm on Monday in Utah, when the vehicle was overturned and landed on top of Block, said the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office.
The former rally car champion was alone at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene following the injuries.
The Californian became one of the most well-known racers thanks to his rally car success and was one of the co-founders of DC Shoe Company.
Apart from rally cars, he had also competed in motocross and skateboarding. Block amassed 16 wins in 60 Rally America starts from 2005-14 and scored five medals in the X Games.
Moreover, he has also become renowned name in the social media community. His YouTube channel has nearly 2 million subscribers and he had over 7 million followers on Instagram.
