David Millar, Aaron Finch, Wanindu Hasaranga and a few other big names will be center of attention on Thursday as franchises are gearing up for the Pakistan Super League season eight (PSL8) draft in Karachi.
The glittering ceremony will see six franchises – Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Quatta Gladiators, Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi – complete their squads.
As many as over 500 foreign players have registered themselves for the draft. The players’ draft for PSL 8 is scheduled to be held in Karachi on December 15.
Some of the renowned named are as follow: Aaron Finch, Matthew Wade, Shakib al Hasan, Alex Hales, David Willey, Dawid Malan, Moeen Ali, Jimmy Neesham, David Miller, Adil Rasheed, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Dasun Shanaka, Wanindu Hasaranga, Kieron Pollard, Mujeeb ur Rehman, Mohammad Nabi, Martin Guptil, Lungi Ngidi, Colin De Grandhomme , Imran Tahir, Saqib Mehmood, James Vince, Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiq ur Rahim, Hazratullah Zazai, Will Jacks, Reeza Hendricks, Shai Hope, Sikandar Raza, Fawad Ahmed, Carlos Brathwaite Junior Dala and Temba Bavuma.
However, Shakib al Hasan, Moeen Ali, and David Willey and a few others from England and Bangladesh are partially available or their availability is subject to the team’s selection for the bilateral series between the two countries.
Some players from South Africa and West Indies are also likely to be available partially as both nations are scheduled to play bilateral series in February.
