A man was arrested with his wife and sister-in-law in connection with the murder of his second wife, who was found strangled to death at their house in the Delhi Colony area of Karachi.
Police said the victim, identified as 28-year-old Sonia, was strangled to death.
A case has been registered on the complaint of Liaquat Masih, the girl’s father.
It states that the woman had married her paternal cousin. In the complaint, the father stated that the husband - along with her first wife and sister-in-law - tortured his daughter and then killed her.
After taking down the statement of the victim’s father, the police arrested the husband, his first wife and sister-in-law.
Police investigation added that the husband brought the woman’s body to the hospital and left it on a stretcher. She was injected with an anesthetic after she was killed, probably with a pillow over the mouth, by stranling.
A case has been registered against the arrested accused.
