Karachi man who attempted murder-suicide loses ability to speak

In the latest development, the doctors have expressed fear that the accused, who killed his wife and daughters in Malir’s Shamsi Society in Karachi, would never be able to speak as his vocal cord has been badly affected.

The investigating authorities say that the accused has been formally arrested and will soon be taken to court for the statement of 164.

According to the police officials, five mobile phones were found in the house of the accused, adding that the phone of the accused was locked. The forensics of the accused’s phone was very important but it could not be unlocked, they added.

On November 29, a woman and her three daughters were slaughtered at their home in Malir’s Shamsi Society.

Police said that the mutilated bodies of the three girls and their mother were found inside the house, while the accused was found critically injured as he had tried to take his own life after killing his family.

The police said that the accused, Fawad, was trying to arrange some money. However, he added, the man failed to get the cash, so he slaughtered his wife and three daughters after he and his wife got into an argument over the cash.
