An injured rare leopard that has reportedly fallen from the hill along the road in Malkandi area of Khyber Paktukhwa’s Balakot was rescued and transported to Mansehra district for treatment on Sunday.
The leopard was found injured along the road, some 30 kilometers from Balakot towards Kaghan. He was bleeding and was not able to move.
Soon after the incident was reported, the forest department officials reached the spot and informed the concerned wildlife department.
Meanwhile, the forest department told Aaj News correspondent that local people and forest department officials sent the injured leopard to Mansehra in an ambulance of Kaghan Development Authority, where it will be given first aid.
Kaghan valley is heavily forested and is a haven for wildlife sadly much of it rare now such as leopards.
