Imran Khan bars Sindh lawmakers from tendering resignations

Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan barred his party’s Sindh Assembly lawmakers from tendering resignations, saying that resigning from the assembly at this time will harm the party.

“We cannot let the ground free for the opponents,” the PTI chief said in a meeting with a delegation of Sindh assembly lawmakers in his Zaman Park residence in Lahore.

The delegation led by Syed Ali Haider Zaidi presented the resignations of 26 lawmakers.

Imran Khan told the lawmakers that the decision on tendering resignations in the Sindh Assembly would be taken after the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies’ dissolution.

The PTI chief directed the lawmakers to focus on the 25 constituencies of Sindh where the PTI lost by a small margin.

While PTI lawmakers backed Imran Khan on the aforementioned statement and vowed to stand by him in all circumstances.
