British High Commissioner Christian Turner Tuesday called on PTI chairman Imran Khan at Zaman Park to inquire about his health.
During the meeting, attended by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja and PTI Fawad Chaudhry, Turner expressed good wishes for the PTI chief to get well soon.
The British HC strongly condemned the assassination attempt on the PTI chief and also gave a briefing about the British cricket team’s visit to Pakistan, while the PCB chairman gave a briefing about the lease of Gaddafi Stadium.
The PTI chief also assured the PCB chairman and the British high commissioner that the test series wouldn’t be affected because of PTI long march or sit-in.
He directed the Punjab government to ensure fool-proof security arrangements for the British cricket team during their visit to Pakistan.
Pakistan announced an 18-member squad for the upcoming three-match World Test Championship series against England starting from December 1.
The England team will arrive in Pakistan on November 27. The Ben Stokes-led unit will play three five-day games in Rawalpindi, Multan and Karachi.
