Actor Aliza Sultan Khan has been in the news following her high-profile divorce from fellow actor Feroze Khan, with the two now in a battle over their children.
During the course of the hearings, several documents were presented in court that came to light. This included photos, medico-legal reports and the police report.
The images, which have been shared widely on social media, show bruises.
According to Aliza, the bruises were the result of abuse at the hands of her now her ex-husband. The violence took place while they were married during 2020 and 2021.
Aliza’s lawyer Barrister Qaim Shah, said that Feroze abused Aliza on November 15, 2020.On November 16, 2020, a report of violence against Feroze Khan was submitted to the police.
The lawyer informed the court that Feroze threatened Aliza after she filed a complaint at a police station. “She was often subjected to physical abuse on multiple occasions, but she chose to remain silent because of her children.”
Feroze gets visitation rights
Meanwhile, the actor has been granted visitation rights for his two children. The decision was taken at the Family Court where the documents were also submitted.
The court granted the children’s custody to Aliza and allowed the actor to visit his kids twice a month.
He was instructed to meet his children in the court premises in the first and last week of the month. He is required to surrender his identity card and passport to the court before the meeting.
The court directed Feroze Khan to pay Rs 2,000 for traveling expenses at every visit with his children.
Last month, Aliza opened up about her abusive marriage in an Instagram post saying that she had to suffer “physical and psychological violence” from Feroze.
