LAHORE: Former Punjab chief minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz has been named as the opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly on Sunday.
Hamza has officially been notified as the leader of the opposition in the provincial assembly and a notification in this regard has been issued following the approval from Punjab Assembly Speaker Sibtain Khan.
It is pertinent to be mentioned here that the office of opposition leader had been lying vacant since the change of government in the province.
Hamza had relinquished the opposition leader’s post this year in April after being named as the chief minister of Punjab.
