The warm-up match of the T20 World Cup between Pakistan and Afghanistan was cancelled due to rain after 2.2 overs being bowled in the second innings at the Brisbane Cricket Ground on Wednesday. The opening pair Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were on the crease with 19 runs on the board.
Pakistan lost their first warm-up match against England on Monday by six wickets. The Green Shirts will now face arch-rival India on Sunday, October 23, in Melbourne.
In the first innings, Afghanistan posted 154 runs on the board in the 20 overs. Afghanistan Captain Mohammad Nabi remained not out, scoring 51 runs off 34 deliveries. Usman Ghani made 32 runs in 20 balls.
For Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi picked up two wickets in four overs. Haris Rauf got two while Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz took one each.
