‘Learn, level up’: Lessons Shah Rukh Khan learned from Amitabh Bachchan

Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan, the “king” of Bollywood, has wished Amitabh Bachchan on latter’s 80th birthday. But, more than this, he shared what he has learned from the Deewar actor over the past many years in which the actor superseded the ‘Big B’ as the most sought after leading man of films.

“One thing to learn from this great man, actor, superstar, father and superhuman is to never back away….instead learn….level up and launch again and again….forever,” Shah Rukh said in a tweet on Tuesday.

Big B celebrated his 80th birthday on Tuesday. The ‘Shahenshah of Bollywood’ has worked in around 180 films over the span of four decades. He has also been hosting TV shows, with Kaun Banega Crorepati, the most popular one where people apart from winning money cherish the moment to be with him.

Shah Rukh, who is famous for his wittiness and oratory, said: “May you always be healthy and entertain our grand children also. Love you sir.”

The ‘Bollywood King’, who has shared screen space with Amitabh in over five movies, would be seen in Yash Raj Films’ spy thriller Pathaan in Jan 2023 while the ‘Badla’ actor would be teaming up with Deepika Padukone for the Hindi remake of ‘The Intern’.

King Khan’s love for the hero of Zanjeer goes long way. He shared his memories in form of a picture on his official Facebook profile in 2015 with Amitabh Bachchan with the caption: “My first ever photo shoot with the Maestro. I remember I rested my hand on his shoulder ever so lightly lest I ‘soil’ him.”

It turns out that Shah Rukh is the heartiest fan of the ‘one-man industry’—the title given to Big B by French director François Truffaut.
