QUETTA: The police have claimed to have arrested a suspect involved in the murder of three children of a surgeon who were killed by unidentified men in Joint Road, Railway Colony area in the city.

Orthopedic Dr Nasir Achakzai’s three children were targeted when they were returning from a wedding ceremony on Monday night. They belonged to Chaman.

They were identified as Zaryan Khan, Sadran Khan, and Zaran Khan.

The suspect was arrested in an operation. The police had cordoned off the entire city after the incident. IG Balochistan Abdul Khaliq Sheikh had sought a report from the DIG.

“People involved in the incident do not deserve any mercy, they are not free from the grip of the law,” he said in a statement.
