Sanaullah announces plans for PMLN reorganization amid growing PTI hostility

  • Federal minister says armed gangs won’t be allowed to storm Islamabad

As the ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) finds itself increasingly embroiled in a confrontation with rival PTI, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has announced plans for the reorganization of the party.

At a press conference in Islamabad on Saturday, the PMLN leader said that the party had already been reorganized at the provincial level and the district level restructuring was the next on the cards. Party leaders would go on district level visits for reorganization, he said adding that the survey will begin on October 12.

Referring to planned PTI march on Islamabad, the interior minister also said that the government would not allow ‘armed gangs’ to storm the federal capital.

Sanaullah said that Imran Khan’s narrative didn’t carry weight and that the former prime minister carried out policies against the country.

Khan is neither popular nor has any narrative, he said adding that the PTI leader was only misleading some people.

He said that PTI’s Shaukat Tareen did every thing to scuttle a deal between Pakistan and the IMF.

Sanaullah said that after the devastating floods Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif completed a successful dialogue with the world.

The PML-N leader said that former finance minister Ishaq Dar will return to Pakistan in the next week while Nawaz Sharif will be back before the next general elections.
