A meeting of the Corps Commanders led by Chief of the Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa reviewed the flood situation and the rescue and relief operation, the military’s media wing said in a statement on Thursday.
The army chief asked the formations to maintain operational preparedness while continuing anti-terror measures in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Expressing remorse on flood losses, participants of the meeting stressed intensifying efforts to provide relief to the affectees, it added.
The military’s media wing said the meeting mulled the internal and external security situation at length.
Gen Qamar praised the role of the armed forces in the relief operation and asked them to utilise all resources available to help those in need, the communique said.
