The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has rejected PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s position on the investigation into the PTI prohibited funding case.
According to the FIA sources, another notice would be sent to the PTI chairman to seek answers regarding the prohibited funding case.
The sources said that Imran Khan’s arrest warrants would be issued after three notices had been sent to him.
Five more PTI companies have been identified, the sources said, adding that these companies were not declared in PTI’s assets report submitted to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
These companies are located in USA, England, Australia, Belgium and Canada, some of which are closed and some are still active, the sources revealed.
The FIA had issued notices to the chairman and general secretary of the PTI to investigate the issue of prohibited funding and to provide details of party fund records.
Imran Khan had previously refused to provide details of party funds and accounts records, saying that he is not obligated to provide information to the FIA.
