Actor Fahad Mustafa latest celebrity to be made honorary police officer

**Actor and gameshow host Fahad Mustafa is arguably Pakistan’s most well-known celebrity who is known for being prolific.

His latest movie ‘Quaid-E-Azam Zindabad’ alongside Mahira Khan grossed over Rs680 million crores worldwide on its opening weekend.**

The film, in which he plays a police officer, has not only earned the actor widespread praise but he has also been made an honorary cop.

On August 14, Sindh police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon made Mustafa an honorary superintendent of police (SP).

The actor was honored for his efforts to expose corruption in his film and ultimately establish a positive image of the police force among the general public.

The movie, which is directed by Nabeel Qureshi is about bribery and how those who engage in such activities must be reminded of the hopes the founder of this country had for it.

Mustafa shared a picture of himself in a police uniform standing next to the Sindh police chief in an Instagram post.

“Today, I truly believe Gulab (his charqacter has achieved his biggest dreams. Many many thanks to IG Sindh Police Ghulam Nabi Memon for honoring me with the title of Honorary Superintendent of Police (SP), this Independence Day, and for bringing Gulab’s ambitions to life. I will never get over the love and support you all have shown to this character and Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad, and I hope to continue serving my nation proudly!”

The actor had said in an earlier interview that he wanted to play a cop while pointing out that very few films in Pakistan had tackled the subjet. “If you have ever come across a cop story, Inspector Jamshed was a character I was always fond of and I wanted to play a cop-like character with similar traits to him.” His role in the latest movie was as Inspector Gulab
