Babar Azam, the all-format captain of green shirts, added another feather in his cap on Sunday by becoming the eleventh Pakistani batter to score 10,000 international runs during the first Test match against Sri Lanka at the Galle International Stadium.
“Congratulations skipper Babar Azam on becoming the 11th Pakistani batter to accomplish this major milestone,” the Pakistan Cricket Board tweeted.
Earlier this year, Azam became the first player to win the International Cricket Council Men’s Player of the Month award twice.
In June, he became the first batter to knock three successive one-day international hundreds twice and led his side to a five-wicket win over the West Indies in Multan.
Azam also achieved the feat in the lowest innings
