NAB summons Farah Gogi’s mother

Lahore: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has summoned Bushra Khan, the mother of Farah Khan alias Farah Gogi, on Wednesday, July 20. Farah Khan is a close confidante of Bushra Bibi, the wife of former prime minister and PTI chief Imran Khan, and has been accused of being her frontwoman.

According to NAB sources, Bushra Khan is a shareholder in her daughter Farah Khan’s companies. The mother-daughter duo have made joint investments in companies.

Sources claim that the companies in the name of Farah Khan were established during the last four years. The timing of the setting up companies, as per sources, coincide with that of Imran Khan’s tenure as premier.

The anti-graft watchdog has directed Bushra Khan to appear on July 20 along with relevant documents.

Earlier, NAB Lahore had opened an inquiry against Farah Khan on allegations of unknown sources of income and money laundering.

The inquiry was initiated after a huge amount was withdrawn immediately after it was credited into Farah’s personal account, the accountability watchdog had claimed.

Gogi’s assets increased sharply after 2018. She is believed to operate multiple bank accounts under multiple company names.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has since been claiming that Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi and her friend Farah Gogi made “billions” during the tenure of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf led government.
