Indian businessmen and Indian Premier league Chairperson Lalit Modi and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen have broken the internet with their relationship and its interesting online history.

Lalit was involved in money laundering cases and has lived in London for the last ten years or so.

People were not even aware that the two were in touch, let alone in a relationship. Social media users put on their sleuthing hats and went to work to find out exactly how deep this relationship runs and they made some shocking discoveries.

The pair have been friends since 2011 or earlier. People found a tweet where former miss universe thanked Lalit Modi for helping her get her Twitter account verified.

In another tweet from 2013, Modi asked Sushmita to reply to his SMS.

Lalit Modi, 56, shared photos from what he called a “whirling global tour with the families”. He also called Sen his better half in the tweet.

The post also contained photos of Sen and Modi from over the years.

As speculation about a secret wedding grew, Modi issued a clarification on the microblogging website.

Sen followed suit and also posted a picture on Instagram and issued a cryptic clarification, saying she was in a “happy place” without mentioning Modi or the vacation.
