Ahad Raza Mir has a fiery announcement to make

Canadian-Pakistani actor Ahad Raza Mir is not one to boast about his projects and upcoming films. With his Hollywood debut in ‘Resident Evil’ releasing on Netflix today and landing a role in a British war series, Ahad Raza Mir is making people at home proud.

The ‘Ehd E Wafa’ actor made his acting debut at 17, following in his father’s footsteps by breaking into the Pakistani film business with a role in the Hum Tv series ‘Khamoshiyan’. In the 11th season of Coke Studio, Ahad released “Ko Ko Korina” with Momina Mustehsan, giving singing a go too. Given the negative feedback and criticism it received, the release was probably not the greatest choice. Despite this, Ahad does have a sizable fan base and is unquestionably one of the nation’s best actors.

He has hits like ‘Ehd E Wafa’ and ‘Yeh Dil Mera’ under his belt. Additionally, he has been honored for his efforts. In 2018, he received Lux Style Awards for the category “Best Television Actor” for ‘Yaqeen Ka Safar’ a drama serial. In the same year, Ahad Raza Mir received three Hum Awards for the category “Best Actor Popular”, “Onscreen Couple Popular”, and “Best Television Sensation male” for the same series.

Fans have long been waiting for Ahads role in ‘Resident Evil’, however, they now have two opportunities to rejoice. The Pakistani actor has got himself a part in the second season of the British war series World on fire. The first season of the show was extremely well received by viewers worldwide and this role is a great achievement for Ahad. We’ll never understand how he has managed to keep his significant roles so hush, but we’re happy to see him expanding his area of work.

World on Fire tells the story of World War II “through the eyes of ordinary people whose lives have been thrown into chaos”. The show is set in October 1940. “Lone pilots are sent to destroy German bombers prowling the skies above Manchester as the Northern Blitz begins. The true reality of war has arrived in Britain,” read the description on PBS.

The show stars will all be returning to the latest season, however, there are a few new additions to the cast. The additions include Mark Bonnar (Line of Duty) as Sir James Danemere, our very own Ahad Raza Mir (Resident Evil) as Rajib, and Gregg Sulkin (Pretty Smart) as David. Further casting will be announced soon but for now, the show is currently being filmed in Northern Ireland and we can not wait to see more updates regarding the second season and Mir’s role in it.
