In the first teaser for Bakhtawar, Yumna plays two characters. She will portray a woman who poses as a man to protect other women from thugs who throw dirt at them. By the second teaser, we see that Bakhtawar’s alter ego is having issues with criminals. A shootout, a missing witness, and a slew of tensions promise to keep us glued to the plot.

We could possibly see a love interest develop as well in the shape of Dilawar, played by Zaviyar Nauman. He may support the very forces that Bakhtawar fights.

Yumna Zaidi is famous for taking up such unique and challenging roles. She has recently starred in ‘Parizad’ as Annie (who is a visually impaired girl and love interest of Parizad, played by Ahmed Ali Akber), and ‘Sinf-e-Ahan’ as Shaista Khanzada (a Pakhtun girl who joins the armed forces). Zaidi has previously worked in ‘Pyar ke sadqey’ as a innocent and care-free Mahjabeen alongside Bilal Abbas Khan, which highlights women empowerment and sexual harassment.

She gave strong performances in ‘Dil na umeed tou nahi’ and ‘Ishq Zahe Naseeb’ as Allah rakhi (who is a child bride sold into prostitution) and Shakra (an imaginary character, Zahid Ahmed’s– who is suffering from a multiple-personality disorder, alter personality)
