LAHORE: The Punjab Anti-corruption Department has launched an investigation into corruption allegations against Farah Khan alias Farah Gogi, a close friend and confidante of PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi.
The anti-corruption department, after receiving complaints against Gogi’s construction company named Ghausia Builders, is investigating the construction firm owned by Gogi. The firm allegedly sold plots that only existed on paper.

Earlier, National Accountability Bureau Lahore had opened an inquiry against Farah Khan on allegations of unknown sources of income and money laundering.
Farah Khan was accused of obtaining Rs 847 million from unknown sources and making assets through money laundering. The amount was withdrawn immediately after it was credited into her personal account, the accountability watchdog had claimed.
Gogi’s assets increased sharply after 2018. She was alleged to be having multiple bank accounts under multiple company names.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has since been claiming that former Prime Minister Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi and her friend Farah Gogi made “billions” under the tenure of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government.
PML-N Spokesperson Attaullah Tarar had accused Imran Khan of giving a relief worth RS320 million to Gogi`s husband, Ahsan Jamil Gujjar, under an amnesty scheme.
Farah left for Dubai shortly after Imran Khan’s ouster as prime minister.
