Tinder has come and gone from Pakistan after the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority banned it but there is another dating app in town, that the authority may find much less fault with.
Booky Call, a twist on a not-so-PG term, will not match you with people but with books instead.
The app uses the same algorithm as popular dating apps but it is aimed at revolutionising the way books are suggested to users. Most typical book apps and sites also bring review bombing with persistent ads as well as inorganic reviews.
It modelled the swiping feature based on Tinder, so now you can swipe left or right on the books you do or don’t like. The more you swipe, the more the app’s matchmaker understands about your preference. It then tailors the book suggestions according to the data collected.
To set up, all you have to do is download the app, set up a profile with your book preferences of fiction and non-fiction genres, and then let the swiping begin.
