Amitabh Bachchan’s Insta post prompts reunion rumour with Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Don 3’

India legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan’s social media post, a picture of himself signing his 1978 hit movie ‘Don’ movie alongside Shah Rukh Khan, on Saturday prompted the fans to predict reunion of the two mega stars in the hit crime-thriller movie.

“…. and … errr … continuing in the same vein .. DON,” Amitabh, who is also known as ‘Big B’ in Bollywood, said in an Instagram post.

Indian director Chandra Barot had directed the Amitabh and Zeenat Aman starrer movie, which according to estimates collected more than 70 million Indian rupees against the budget of seven million Indian rupees. The movie is also memorable among the film buff as it was written by the iconic pair of Salim and Javed, who also wrote Sholay, Deewar, and Zanjeer.

Reacting to the post, fans started predicting that was it a “hint” on the pair’s reunion. The two mega stars have shared the scene in Mohbaatein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna

After almost 28 years, Shah Rukh Khan, who is called ‘King Khan’ in the Indian film industry, starred in the remake of Don in 2006. Though the premise followed the same plot it had a twist in the end, leaving the female lead Priyanka Chopra in confusion over the dialogue ‘muhey bhi jangli billion bohut pasand hai’ when Don’s duplicate leaves in an ambulance.

Its sequel was released in 2011 with some new faces and a new storyline. It was also directed by actor-cum-director Farhan Akhtar. The movie also had the famous line ‘*Don ko pakrna mushkil hi nahi na mumkin hai’.*
