From Peechay Hutt to Koko Korina, Ms Marvel brought it all

Last week, Iman Vellani’s portrayal of the first teen Muslim-American superhero Kamla Khan hit screens, cementing her place in the Marvel universe.

She is your run-of-the-mill 16-year-old with her teenage problems, overprotective Pakistani parents, Muneeba and Yusuf, a brother Aamir and two best friends. Kamala is a Super Hero mega-fan with an enlarged imagination. She is an enthusiastic gamer and a passionate fan-fiction scribe.

The series is not only being praised for its Muslim-Pakistani representation when it comes to the cast, but the music chosen is also repping South Asian artists.

Many fans were delighted to find their favourite Pakistani and Indian songs in the first two episodes. Here is the list:

Sage by RITVIZ

Peechay Hutt by Hasan Raheem, Justin Bibis and Talal Qureshi from Coke Studio

Jalebi Baby by Tesher

Aye Khuda by Aslam Afzal, Farhad B, Vimal K and Atif Afzal
