The Karachi police have arrested an alleged target killer in connection with the killing of a clerk of the Anti-Encroachment Department, Aaj News reported on Monday
Karachi police, in a joint operation with Sindh Rangers, arrested the target killer, Shakir aka Dheela, from the New Karachi area of the metropolis.
The accused is affiliated with MQM-London and confessed to more than eight targeted killings during the investigation, said a Rangers spokesperson.
The police claimed that in another operation they have also arrested, Ibrahim Topi, the mastermind of the murder.
Ibrahim was performing his duties as a sub-inspector at Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), SSP Shabir Sethar told the reporters.
The police revealed that Ibrahim had tasked Shakir with killing Muhammad Ali, the over the transfer and posting issues.
The clerk was murdered on May 30.
