3 amazing top young women of Pakistan

We have some of the hardest-working people in our country, from social workers to musicians, and the reason for their success seems to be that they chose to believe in themselves despite the constant scrutiny they faced. Here are three youthful role models who will inspire you as well.

Raina Khan Barki

Raina Khan, the founder of Zenana Foundation, serves to empower women, improve health and hygiene, provide free education, and promote social entrepreneurship. At the tender age of 20, this brilliant star has already been named one of Pakistan’s 50 most influential women. She is a member of Pakistan’s National Youth Council as well as a Chicago Sister Cities International Global Youth Ambassador.

Rania possesses an extensive list of accomplishments, from getting the Diana Award in 2020 to being selected for the National Pride Award and being listed in Pakistan’s 101 Most Powerful Women, she is a force to be reckoned with. Her passion and energy are exceptional, and she is an inspiration to all young girls.

Ahmed Sarym

Ahmed Sarym, founder of Qissanagari and director of the famed ‘Midsummer Chaos,’ is a 19-year-old Pakistani filmmaker who has made a significant impact on the Pakistani entertainment industry. If you were unaware for most of 2021, Midsummer Chaos was the talk of the town.

Five 12-minute episodes of the show were released on Qissangaris YouTube channel and became a sensation in the span of a week. While most people watched it for the chuckles, Sarym had a far more in-depth analysis of the show’s meaning. As ‘cringe’ as it was for just about all people who watched it, it accurately depicted the bubble we all live in and the tricky dynamics that come with forming long-term relationships today. His enthusiasm for the profession piqued people’s curiosity. Sarym initially made his mark by interviewing celebrities when he was much younger.

Eva B

Surfacing from a Baloch family, Eva B is a Pakistani hip-hop female rapper and singer. The 22-year-old rose to fame earlier this year after appearing on Coke Studio season 14 for her music video “Kana Yari,” which has acquired over 16 million views on YouTube. Eva B, inspired by Eminem, would sneak into music studios under the guise of studying, afraid of upsetting her family.

Eva B was forced to abandon her profession just as it was taking off due to family pressures. It was deemed “indecent” by them. However, after her family realised she was not going to give up, she re-launched her career in 2019 with her song “Gully Girl” on the Pakistani music streaming platform Patari. Eva B was allowed to sing after this on the condition that she veiled her face.

She said, “I am comfortable with the veil and it’s my identity. My brother is no longer uncomfortable with my music”. Eva B’s rise to fame despite constant scrutiny and pressure from her conservative community is what sets her apart. Her bravery in pursuing what she wanted to pursue despite all obstacles is why she stays an inspiration for the younger generations.
