PTI MNA threatens suicide attack if Imran harmed

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Member National Assembly (MNA) Ataullah Niazi on Monday threatened to blow himself up in a suicide attack if anything happens to party chief and former prime minister Imran Khan.

“If a single hair on Imran Khan’s head is harmed, then those running the country should know: neither you nor your children will be safe. I will be the first to carry out a suicide attack on you. I will not let you be,” the lawmaker from Karachi said in a video statement doing the rounds on social media.

“Similarly, thousands of others workers are ready (to blow themsevles up if any harm befalls Imran Khan.”

PTI chief Imran Khan was awarded transit bail by the Peshawar High Court and is currently at his Banigala residence in Islamabad. Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that Imran would be arrested once his bail expires with security officials deployed outside his residence.

Earlier, PTI Vice President Shah Mehmood Qureshi Qureshi said that arresting Imran would be a political mistake that would intensify the ongoing crisis. “If the government tried to arrest Imran Khan, it should be ready to face a strong backlash from PTI workers.”
