A National Assembly session for next financial year’s Budget 2022-23 will start today, and a joint session of both Houses will be held on June 9.
Finance Minister Miftah Ismail will present the bill for the upcoming financial year on June 10 followed by arguments by the Leader of the Opposition Raja Riaz.
A call-to-attention notice for the Minister for Energy regarding heavy load shedding in Sindh is part of the 32-point agenda for the session issued by the Lower House of Parliament.
Another call-to-attention notice for the Minister for Energy regarding an increase in the prices of petroleum products is on the agenda.

Senate Session
After a gap of two days, a session of the Upper House will resume on Monday (today) at 4:00 pm, with the 28-point agenda.
The following bills will be presented:
The Pakistan Animal Science Council Bill, 2022 (a bill to constitute the Pakistan Animal Science Council)
The Islamabad Capital Territory Prohibition on Employment of Children Bill, 2022 (a bill to prohibit the employment of children and to regulate the employment of adolescents in certain works)
The following bills will be passed in the session:
The Criminal Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2021 (amendment of section 123B, insertion of new section 123C in PPC and subsequent amendments in Schedule II of CrPC)
The Smart Institute of Sciences and Technology Bill, 2022
The House will present resolutions to pass multiple bills in the joint session.
The lawmakers will pass a resolution that beneficiaries of the Ehsaas programme, initiated by Imran Khan’s government, will continue receiving support under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and they will not be removed from the list.
