Pakistani delegation to visit India for Indus water talks

A five-member Pakistani delegation will leave for India Sunday to discuss issues pertaining to the sharing of water between the two countries, under the Indus water agreement.

The talks will also focus on the issue of providing information on floods in advance.

The Pakistani delegation will be led by Indus Water Commissioner Mehr Ali Shah. It will leave India via Wagah border and return by June 1.

The dialogue will go on for two days in New Delhi.

The visit comes after an Indian delegation visited Islamabad for the annual meeting of the Permanent Indus Commission (PIC) in March.

This is the second time a Pakistani delegation would be visiting India over the last few weeks.

Earlier this month, a Pakistani delegation visited Delhi for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Regional Anti-Terror Structure (RATS) meeting.
