Armed robbers escaped after raping a teenage girl in Pattoki, in Punjab’s Kasur district, reported Aaj News on Thursday. She was returning home from a wedding with her father.
Manzoor Ahmed told police he was returning to his village from a wedding party on Wednesday night with his 15-year-old daughter and five-year-old son when he was stopped by armed men, robbed and tied up.

The two men raped the girl after separating her from her father.
When passers-by heard the commotion and stopped to help, the men fled, leaving their motorcycles behind.
The crime took place in the jurisdiction of the Saddar Pattoki police station.
Police rushed to the scene and the 15-year-old was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.
Teams from the Punjab Forensic Science Agency collected evidence, while police said the suspects will be arrested soon.
The Punjab inspector general has taken notice of the incident and demanded a report from Sheikhupura’s regional police officer.
