Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to leave no stone unturned to address the economic challenges faced by the country.
He along with Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz addressed the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz workers at Jati Umra after offering Eid prayer.
“The country will run on the path to progress and prosperity as envisioned by PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif. Pakistan will be made a great nation,” said PM Shehbaz
The prime minister said he would address the nation soon and dilate upon the problems faced by the country.
CM Hamza extended Eid wishes to the workers and said: “I am requesting all to celebrate happiness with your loved ones, but feel the pain of poor who could not afford new clothes on the festival.”
He said Pakistan had not witnessed the prevailing disastrous economic situation in the last 74-year history of the country.“Youth are unemployed which had led them to mental illnesses.”
The chief minister said he would constitute committees to tackle inflation in Lahore. “They will ensure that poor will be able to afford necessities,” he said.
Earlier, the premier and Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz offered Eid prayers at Jati Umra Mosque in Lahore where special prayers were offered for safety and prosperity of country.
