PESHAWAR: The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Saturday announced that the Ramadan moon has been sighted and the first fast of the holy month will fall on Sunday (tomorrow).
Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad made the announcement in Peshawar where he was chairing a meeting of the moon sighting committee.
Earlier, the Islamabad and Lahore zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committees reported to the central body that they have sighted the moon in their respective cities.
The holy month is already underway in Middle East countries, including Saudi Arabia, where the first fast was observed on Saturday (today).
