Released on Friday, the trailer for the film ‘Kamli,’ starring talent powerhouse Saba Qamar and newcomer Hamza Khawaja, is as captivating as its graphic.
Qamar shared the gripping teaser of the film on her social media profiles and described the story as a “tale of love, loss and cloaked secrets.”
Unlike most films to come out of the Pakistani film industry that have explored the comedic genre, Kamli falls into a serious, more intimate category. But that must not come as a surprise, as its producer Sarmad Khoosat is known for his intense projects.
Also starring Sania Saeed and Nimra Bucha, the teaser of the film gave a glimpse of hard-hitting performances and a screenplay that viewers can look forward to.
Most of the time, trailers give away at least a small part of the movie’s plot, however, that was not the case for Kamli.
The trailer puts together different scenes and viewers catch glimpses of bloodshed, burning rooms, ruined paintings, rivers, and animals. The film oozes mystery and danger, yet there’s a touch of romance, art, and love. The emotions that the trailer conveys are amplified by the haunting music in the background.
Releasing in theatres across Pakistani on June 3rd, Kamli already has viewers on edge with excitement.
The film is one of the many projects Qamar will be seen in this year. One of her films 'Ghabrana Nahi Hai' is set to release on Eidul Fitr while her web series Mrs and Mr Shameem is garnering immense praise from audiences.
