Disgruntled PTI MNAs refute allegations in response to show-cause notices

Two disgruntled MNAs of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf - Noor Alam Khan and Malik Ahmad Hussain Dehr - submitted replies to the party's show-cause notices served to them, with Khan saying that he rejected the allegations levelled against him as they were baseless, reported Aaj News.

In his reply, MNA Khan said his interview to media did not include anything for which he has to clarify his position. "I have not left the PTI and I am still party of the parliamentary party."

He added that Article 63-A could not be applied on him.

MNA Dehr also submitted the reply to the ruling party, refuting the rumours that he has left the party, saying he was still a worker of the party and no evidence of the allegations levelled against him were provided to him. No proceedings against Article 63-A could be applied on him, he added.

The ruling party had served show-cause notices to its 14 disgruntled MNAs after they were found taking refuge in Sindh House in Islamabad where they claimed that they were listening to their “conscience” as they had grievances with the PTI and they were at the provincial residence due to "security concerns".

Two days after the united opposition submitted a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan in the National Assembly on March 8, the police launched an operation in the Parliament Lodges on the command of director-general operation Islamabad.
