Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed on Monday said that voting on the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan would be held after March 27 at the National Assembly.
Taking to Twitter, Javed said that ''the biggest" rally in the history of Pakistan will be held at Islamabad's Azadi Chowk on March 27, adding that PM Imran Khan will deliver a 'historic speech' during the rally.
Earlier on March 8, the joint opposition had submitted the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan which was signed by 86 lawmakers of the joint Opposition.
The opposition had also submitted a requisition notice for convening the National Assembly session under Article 54(3) of the Constitution to take up the resolution.
As per the constitution, the speaker of the National Assembly is bound to convene the National Assembly session within 14 days to take up the resolution.
Earlier today, in a tweet, Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar had also announced that a 'historic jalsa' would be held at Islamabad's D-Chowk.
"A historic gathering is going to be held on March 27. The world will see how the people of Pakistan stand with their captain for their independence and sovereignty," he said. The party is expecting one million people to attend.
