Shehbaz Sharif meets Chaudhry brothers, seeks support for no-trust move

President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif met President Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Chaudhry Shujaat on Sunday and requested for cooperation on the no-confidence motion.

The meeting was attended by MNA Salik Hussain, Shafi Hussain, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Rana Tanveer, Ataullah Tarar, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Shabir Usmani

According to media reports, Shehbaz and the PML-N delegation inquired about the well-being of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.

The leadership of both parties also discussed the political situation in the country. Shehbaz Sharif presented flowers to Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on behalf of Nawaz Sharif and said that Nawaz Sharif has expressed his best wishes to you.

PML-N, in its statement on twitter, said that both sides discussed the current political situation in the country in detail and also shed light on other issues of mutual interest.

Shehbaz expressed confidence over the matters pertaining to the discussions between leaders from both the sides.

Chaudhry brothers said that they would consult the party in the political situation, the coming days are important and they would take action after considering the situation.

Meanwhile, Shehbaz Sharif also inquired about Chaudhry Shujat Hussain's health on behalf of Nawaz Sharif and said that Nawaz has expressed his best wishes.

Earlier on Friday the Opposition's Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) had decided to bring a no-confidence motion against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

Talking to media persons after the meeting of the Opposition alliance, the PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman had said that the alliance would try to get the government's allied parties on board in order to get a voting majority in the National Assembly to oust Prime Minister Imran Khan through a no-confidence motion.
